Team Apart? What's that?

Good question!

Team Apart is browser-based application that provides small teams with a place to meet and collaborate in real-time. A Team Apart meeting includes tons of great features to help you collaborate, including document and image viewing, whiteboarding, simultaneous text editing, and screen sharing. Team Apart also allows for face-to-face interaction through your computer webcam and microphone.

Why did you create Team Apart?

Although telecommuting, mobile working and remote meetings are increasingly common, there remains few effective and simple means of collaborating with remote team members in real-time.

We want to create a product that helps small groups meet online effectively, that is intuitive and useful. We want to encourage quicker and better remote collaboration and help disparate teams save both time and money.

What can I do with Team Apart today?

My webcam and/or microphone isn't working!

We're currently in beta mode and there are a few kinks we still need to work out. If you are having microphone or camera issues, please send us an email at feedback@teamapart.com and let us know the operating system and browser you are experiencing problems on so we can fix this issue.

Why is there so much video/audio delay?

To reduce video/audio delay, make sure everyone in your conference is using Flash 10. You can upgrade to the latest version of the Flash Player here. Check out our blog post to learn more about this issue.

I'm experiencing trouble with audio echo. What can I do?

We recommend using headphones when using Team Apart - this way, audio from others talking won't re-transmit through your microphone. Additionally, Team Apart provides a silence level meter in the right side of your webcam box that will let you set how loud audio needs to be before it's transmitted through your microphone. If you are without headphones, play with this setting to reduce echo, but be sure you don't set it so high that your own voice isn't transmitted!

When will I be able to meet with more people, and for more time?

We are working hard to add new features and functionality, and hope to have additional options available soon!
